JPE is a free, peer reviewed scholarly journal (ISSN: 1073-0451), publishing on political economic links to environmental outcomes. It was International Scientific Journal & Country Ranking. Only Open Access Journals Only SciELO Journals Only WoS Journals However, an analysis from a political ecology standpoint allows a different interpretation: the root of the problem lies in the hegemonic agrofood system and the unequal power relationships between the actors in the agrofood chain.
