Stadium, Arena & Sports Venue 2012-07-11 Formula Trinity – the University’s first ever Formula Student team – participated in the international Formula Student Competition at Silverstone Race track in the United Kingdom last week. This is the first time a team from Trinity has taken part in the annual student engineering competition run by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers 2015 FSAE rules concepts revealed at Silverstone. The outline of the 2015-2017 FSAE rules has been revealed at Silverstone ahead of this years Formula Student event. While the final rules will not be published until the end of summer various elements of them are already in draft versions. In 1981, the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in the USA began the "Formula SAE®" competition, in which around 140 student teams from all over the world compete every year. Since 1998, SAE and IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) in England have been holding the annual "Formula Student" competition, normally composed of around 70 international teams.

DUT Racing Team starts with overall victory in the new season. In mid-July 2015 the Formula Student team has started the new season. An initial location decision took place in Silverstone/Great Britain for a total of 131 teams from 32 countries. For the first race event of the year more than 90 teams were registered.
